Can this be left in a turkey while I deep fry it

it would be better to use 12 inch probe deep fry thermometer,such as the ASIN: B01N7KIDW0, which is with 12 inch probe and stainless steel clip locked to the rim of fryer. This one can be left in turkey when you deep fry it, but the probe length is just 5 inch, if 5 inch probe is fit for your fryer, surely you can use this one for your cooking.
