Gator snaps open
This KWIK Thumb Stud - Stainless was easily mounted on my Gerber Gator with the included Allen Key. Now enabled with one hand opening thank you very much Arrived quickly in a neat little zip lock bag and I couldn't be more satisfied with the new fit, function and appearance.

This Thumb Stud Works
I received a Benchmade Mini-Taggedout knife as a gift, but I had trouble using the slit on the top of the blade to open it, so I installed a brass Kwik Thumb Stud. Well, the knife looks garish enough with its orange handles, and the brass thumb stud made it look like a Mardi Gras throw, so I ordered a stainless steel Kwik thumb stud and installed that on the Benchmade. Then I installed the brass one on a 40+ year-old Gerber LST knife that was my workplace EDC back in the day. Now I can open the LST with one hand! It was easy to install both studs, and the studs stay put. Opening the knives now is so much easier. BTW, just for fun, I tried slipping the brass stud through the slit of the Benchmade blade and installing it upside-down. It fit that way, too, but I didn't like the aesthetics of it as much.

Will work for the Buck 110, but not for me
It gets 5 stars for doing exactly what it's meant to do, easy to install on/off and there's enough of it sticking out to give good traction with the thumb while opening the blade. On a separate note, I returned mine because I didn't like it on my Buck 110, and I know lots of people are looking at this to put on a 110 so here's why: - After trying out several positions for it on the blade, I found that where it looked most natural to put it didn't provide great leverage, and where it did provide good leverage, it was just an an eyesore sticking out close to the middle of the blade while closed. I guess I found out how much I really loved the classic lines/look of a 110. -The Buck 110 is a relatively big knife, those with med/large hands will see that you won't be able to "flick" the blade open, and it's a bit of a stretch to completely open it with the thumb on the stud. - Didn't fit back into the leather sheath nicely with the thumb stud on, it had to be forced. I'm sure the sheath would have broken in after a while, so this may be a non-issue. -You can open the Buck 110 with one hand, there are a few ways, even though admittedly no way I know of is as comfortable as using a thumb stud. -I realized that I have my one-handed opening modern knives and when I'm using my 110 I'm usually fishing/in the woods/taking it easy, and I never have a real need to open it one handed. I returned mine for those reasons, but if this is for another knife, or you won't mind the looks of the knife and are all about utilitarian features, this will work great.

Pretty nifty
I put mine on a Buck 110. I found it to be kind of awkward to use. I just don't thing the Buck 110 was designed to have a thumb stud. But, it does work. When I don't neex it, I still open it with two hands. But, it's nice to know it's there if I really need to open it one-handed. It goes on easy. Just a simple allen screw. No adhesives. It doesn't require you to alter the knife in any way. It comes off easily if you want to remove it.

As expected, good materials and workmanship.
Fit's my Buck 110 just fine, but... I lack the dexterity to safely operate the knife one handed, if my thumb slips off the stud, my gripping fingers are going to a little bit shorter. This is a Me problem, not a product problem. It's a very well-made quality device and does exactly what it says on the tin. Recommended for folks that can run a lock back blade better than I can.

Love it
I ran into this by mistake and glad I did! I have an older Bucklite 426V and rarely carried it because I have become so accustomed to quick release knives or at the minimum already had a thumb stud from the factory. This item works great and because its adjustable it allows the user to place it wherever works best on the blade for them. This is fantastic because we all have different size hands and the thumb stud may work (at one location) for some and those with bigger hands would like it farther down the blade. I experimented for the best location to find that “sweet” spot I was comfortable with. I also put some semi permanent thread lock on the screw to avoid it working itself free! Definitely worth the paltry price!

Wow, that was easy!
You know how so often you will buy a product that seems like it should be an easy install, but it turns out to be a bear? Not this one! I wanted to put a thumb stud on my Ka-bar Buck 110 clone so I ordered this. Delivered like lightning in the mail, I opened up the envelope, saw there was an allen key included, shook out the contents of the envelope, and had the install complete in 15 seconds. I did have to adjust the location to fit my preferences, but the entire install took less than a minute. It works perfectly, and I think it looks pretty sharp; just what I needed! And at a fantastic price, as well. Now I will actually be able to use this knife that has been gathering dust for years. Nice when a product works out so perfectly!

Works as promised but, was missing the hex key
I put this on a Buck 110 and the knife doesn't open well. However, I'm sure it's because of the design of the knife not the stud. The stud seems to be holding very tightly to the blade. My complaint is that even though the he key is shown in the photo I did not have one included in my packaging. Had to dig through the garage to find one that fits. I also can't seem to take the stud off to put on a different knife.

Ottimo accessorio
Ottimo thumbstud. Si adatta bene anche a coltelli con spessore lama inferiore rispetto ai Buck classici. Materiali e qualità costruttiva ottimi.
