My pressure washer had sat for over a year without being started, and despite using fuel stabilizer it exhibited all the classic symptoms of a gummed-up carburetor. Spark? Yes. Ran with starter fluid? Yes, just for a few seconds. Fuel line clogged? Nope. Considered rebuilding the carb for all of a few minutes before I discovered I could buy this replacement for what I consider super cheap, and the reviews were good so I gave it a try. I had it installed in about 30 minutes, and it started up and ran perfectly. The only hiccup was the fuel inlet was pointing skyward instead of horizontal like the original. Thanks to another reviewer with the same issue, I tried twisting the fuel inlet into the correct position - first with my fingers (didn't budge) then with a pliers. It wasn't easy, in fact I was worried I was going to break or crimp the fuel inlet, but I did finally get it rotated in the right direction. I was worried it might leak after turning it around, but it didn't. Aside from that, and a few cosmetic differences, it fit perfectly otherwise -- and was a very easy install. The pics show the old carb on the left and the new one on the right - a few things different here and there, but none of them matter because it functions the way it should, and it fits up correctly to the engine and air cleaner housing. After reassembly, the engine started after a couple of pulls, and idled / ran great. I had gotten this pressure washer used, and with the new carb it runs better than it ever has for me. I'm truly overjoyed that I didn't have to deal with cleaning the old carb (worst task ever), so this gets 5 stars despite the super-minor problem of the fuel inlet pointing in the wrong direction. If I ever need another one, I'd buy this one in a heartbeat.

I have two pressure washers at 2 different locations, one with a Honda GX 160 5.5 hp engine and the other with a Honda GX 200 6.5hp engine. I put the GX 200 unit in storage and when it was getting moved, the gas line valve accidentally got opened up. The unit sat for 18 months and the carb varnished up, even with stabilized gas. This carb arrived today and I had it installed in 20 minutes and it started on the first pull and ran high and low speed for 2 hours no problems. I had to replace the air filter in the GX 160 and it’s the same filter and pre-filter from this carb which fits both of those Honda engines. The kit comes with the plastic choke Linkage and a new fuel line along with the air filter and pre filter. Nice! I think I can clean up my old carb and keep it as a spare but for $17, it might not be worth the effort!

Annoying I had to turn the fuel line like other reviews had mentioned. Otherwise works great and starts easy ever time.

So at first I decided to buy an OEM carb from a small engine parts company. Paid 4 times what I did on this carb and it didn’t fit. After a week of back and forth with this other company I decided to buy this carb as I watched a guy install one and it worked great. Same here, I installed in 15 minutes and it started and ran great. Will request refund from other company.

Spent two days trying to clean out the original carb and never quite got it running correctly. The original needed starter fluid and then it would die. Even once we got it running it would only run on full-choke, which means that we couldn't get enough RPMs to run the pressure washer it's supposed to run. This bolted on, all the gaskets lined up, everything fit, the engine fired right up on either the second or third pull with no starter fluid. The thing is twenty years old, hasn't been run in seven years with no maintenance ever in it's life span, and now runs exactly like I remember it running just by bolting on this carb and new air cleaner. Don't waste your time with the original, just buy one of these.

I bought a Kärcher pressure washer with a Honda GX200 motor for a steal. It had low hours but had sat for years with a full tank and the gas valve left on, so the carb was very gummed up/varnished. I could get it to run pretty well without the choke with no load, but had to have the choke about 75% closed to keep it from dying under load. With how cheap new carbs are these days, it makes more sense to just replace it versus cleaning the old one. I slapped this new carb on in about 15 minutes, and now I have a pressure washer that runs like brand new! It starts right up and has tons of power and doesn’t need choked at all once it’s warmed up. Well worth the money! Once thing to be aware of - the angle of the gas inlet fitting on this carb points nearly straight upward, versus nearly flat on the original carb. But I was able to easily rotate the fitting 90* to where it needed to be with a pair of channel locks, so no big deal there.

The Carburetor fits perfectly and works great the only issue I had was the air cleaner did not fit in ,I might have got the wrong air cleaner box when I got my engine years ago
