Great tripod for the price but needs a couple modifications.
I "assumed" the little black piece to turn the cable would FLOAT since it was made for ice fishing. NOPE! First time out the piece fell in the hole and dropped to the bottom of the lake like a brick! I called Aqua View and after we had a good laugh she said she would send me a new one n/c. Lesson learned! It is a great tripod and I love having control of my camera. My camera has a smaller cord so I did have to put a rubber band around the stopper to tighten it around the small cord. I love that Aqua View stood behind their product.

Good device
We ordered this because we were borrowing a friend's tripod and we dropped the top into the hole and couldn't recover it. We like the item, but be aware that the top is not attached and may fall in. Now that we know this, it won't be a problem. but it should be improved so this couldn't happen in the first place.

Works awesome
I have a Marcum vs385c underwater camera. The black rubber stopper fits perfectly around the cord. Made my life much easier when panning my camera. I have to pan manually but it is still a great device to have. I have an auger with a 10 inch blade. Covers that and can go bigger if needed. I highly recommend.

Work okay but missing tether
Works okay for stabilizing under water camera wire, but like others said, the rubber piece does not have a tether and sinks. Poor design in that regard as many get dropped down hole and lost forever. I just used some braided line to create a tether of my own and protect from loss.

Low grade
Really cheap, broke first time out in cold weather
User
Cheaply made
Made very cheap, for the price. Bobber stop isn't attached and sinks if you drop it in the water

Not Designed for Aqua Vu Micro Models
I love the size. It easily fits in a 5 gal bucket with other gear but it just doesn't work well with the Aqua Vu Micro models. I have the Micro 5.0 Revolution Pro and the cable is too thin for the rubber stopper to hold. This made it difficult to rotate the camera underwater. Basically, all I could do was set the camera by lowering it through the tripod and twisting the cable to orient the camera and then wrap the cable around the stopper and hope that it stayed in the direction I wanted. Also, I can see how the stopper could be easily dropped in your ice hole.I ended up buying the motorized version which has a much better method for attaching the cable.

Not high quality but works...
The sender is great. Got the product quickly. The stand itself is cheap plastic and seems overpriced, but does a good job of holding the camera wire and allowing me to spin the camera as needed. So as there are not many options for this item, it is worth the money and helps see the fish... If the low quality is ok, then I recommend fully. 😎
