Can this item be rack mounted? Image shows no screw holes

Yes, the version that i have has 2 screw holes on each side of the unit. It's 1/2 rack space size. Also a great phono preamp!

How can I connect this to a mixer, then amp for two turntables??

As far as I know, you can only use one turntable input (indicated by PHONO) at each turn -- the other two inputs are for other analog sources such as tape recorder. The USB output allows you to record any of these analog audio/music onto, say, your computer, hence digitize them and mix them. When dealing with digital music, one should of course use a software (such as Audacity which is free or you use any Audio Mixer Software )... However, to play the digital audio, you should have a DAC (digital to analog device) connected to either your amplifier (--> passive speakers) or to your active speakers.

Can the zphono serve as a preamp feeding straight into a main amp or do I need an integrated amp?

Zphone includes a preamp so it can feed a power amp. Not asked, but I am so far impressed with the sound quality of the zphone when used with my old Phillips 312 TT.

The photos show the zphono preamp but the product description describes the discontinued zphono-usb model. which model is being sold?
