Yes, these work well. We live in a very high humidity state and I'm happy with the control of the moisture.

How often can the silica gel pack need to be replaced?

It depends on your conditions, usually you need replace it when few orange silica gel beads change to dark green, you can replace the packet.

How can I store the rest of packets?

A few comments here regarding "moisture absorbers" (silica gel packets). First, store unused packets id a tight lidded container or baggy, such as a zip lock baggie. Keep the filled container/baggy in a cool place. Next, be aware that these packets can be reactivated after use. If there are instructions on the packet then follow those. If not, the "used" packets can be placed on a cookie sheet and backed in the oven at 200 degrees for 8 hours to dry out absorbed moisture, being sure that the packet is not flammable. At the end of the reactivation period, be careful with handling.. The silica will retain heat for some time, so caution is the byword. Silica gel can be reactivated countless number of times. Also note that silica can be an irritant on skin or eyes, so don't open the original packs. Silica supposedly can also be reactivated in a microwave oven, but I don't have any info on using that technique. Of course, cost-effectiveness is a tradeoff reactivating silica packets using the oven. Coming back to your original question, the packets can be stored in tight containers or baggies for quite some time; consider how long those little packets are in containers housing pills, vitamins, etc.

The description says it is rechargeable color changing from orange to green but on opening found the beads inside the pouch to be white.Cannot know weather they are rechargeable or not.
