What kind of battery? Can customer replace it?

I just opened the back cover using a tiny flat-head screw driver. It's using Japanese Quartz Movement MIYOTA 2115 and a common SR626SW/SR66/377 1.5V silver oxide watch battery, like this one with ASIN: B001G7PJ2A. Pull the old one out and push the new one in, put back the back cover, all done in 3 minutes. Hope this info helps.

I've seen reviews below that say the rubber wrist band breaks in a few weeks, and that the adjustment knob is made of plastic, is that correct?

I don't know about the band. But the knob broke off right out of the box when I tried to set the time. Sent it back and got another. A few months later the Knob broke off again. Do not buy this watch. Look up Smith and Wesson Lawman watch, it is a better watch and is all metal. I own one and think it is a way better watch.

How do you put the battery cover back on

It is not recommended for customers to take off the back plate or change the batteries themselves as that voids the warranty on the watch. This particular watch's back plate has to be pressure pressed on till it clicks. Make sure it is on tight and the rubber seal is placed correctly or the watch will not be water resistant.

Great watch great price

Had it for a couple of weeks only but my work keeps me banging it on metal and other hard materials and so far, not a scratch!. Very clear and visible digits (my eyes are not as good as they used to be) and I can always see the time. Not a Luminox at night but for the price, you can't beat it. Wristband is soft and seems sturdy. Only con would be the knob is a bit sharp and with sweat, it irritates a bit the area in contact with the wrist but really nothing I can't handle so not a big complain. Feels just right and I really like it!

Not so rugged Smith & Wesson watch (strap)

I wore this watch for two months. It looked good, was rugged, and kept accurate time. I took it off today and the strap was broken where it joins the bezel. Too late to return to the vendor so I look at the 1 year warranty from S&W. "This guarantee does not cover the watch case, bracelet, strap, glass or any battery." Looks like I'm SOL as its not a common strap. Stay away from this one!

Not the best watch I ever bought

Looks cool, but digits and hands are not luminescent, so useless without a light. Hands are so slim they're actually quite hard to read. Band came apart after a few weeks; replaced it with another I had. So - it's a watch.

Disappointing watch

The crown was bent when I first received this watch. It differs in looks from the photos shown in the ad. Says 'Commander' on dial, not 'amphibian'. I didn't really know what to expect from a $60 watch, but with the Smith & Wesson name, I expected more. More attention to detail, and a watch worthy of such a reputable name.

Very fragile

I got this watch in a timely manner only to open it and find that the secondhand Fell off and was lying at the bottom of the watch. Definitely will not buy again
