Definitely seems like a genuine, handmade olive oil soap. Anyone who's used this type of soap before will recognise the tell-tale characteristics: the green colour, the earthy, stony scent, the hardness of the bar, and the creamy rather than bubbly lather. The uneven, square-cut bars and the obvious shrinkage from the drying and curing process are other signs of it being handmade. The bars seem to have been aging for awhile which may have put some people off, as they look a lot older than in the photo. It shouldn't though, because this is what handmade soap looks like, and as long as no rancidity occurs it will get better with age. Quite well priced as well, at the time of buying it was a limited time offer of 6 bars for less than £8. My only criticism is I wish there was more information on the product page (or included with the package) about how and where the soap was made. UPDATE: Also, these bars are over 160g each, not 60g like the description says. The seller should update the page.

Straight away these are genuine. The colour, the smell and the feel, just like when bought from Greece. These come as nice big blocks that lather up perfectly in a soap bag. Great all rounder, will not moisture hair the way conditioner does though as some people may think. Very satisfied with product and glad I found this seller. FIVE 🌟

Absolutely amazing!! I’m an eczema sufferer and always feel a bit itchy. I used to be washed in olive oil when I was a toddler because I couldn’t tolerate soap. That was over 60 years ago. Since I grew up i tried various unscented soap and was ok but never softened my eczema patches or helped with my skin itching. When I saw this soap I remembered being wiped down with olive oil and thought why not give it a go? So I have and it’s WONDERFUL! . My eczema patches have softened and my whole body feels softer and moisturised. I shall never go back to other soaps again. If you want big lather or a scent you’ll be disappointed, this has a gentle lather and has no perfume. If you just want softer skin you should give this a go.!

Well, it is soap, it washes as it should. BUT Not a soap to put on public view. The large bars look as if they are made by a man in his kitchen. The colour is variable, the shape irregular.

I love this soap. I use it on my face and body and leaves my skin really soft. I even use it to shave my legs and it works really well, creamy lather and moisturising. It’s good value. The bars are large and last a long time.

Big bars - way too big to fit in my soap bag - and uncomfortably big in the hand, so that I kept dropping it. Hard edges and corners too. Just not pleasant to use, due to the size. I ended up chopping a bar in half using a kitchen knife, which felt weird. The smell is not pleasant at all, to me (or to my better half, who said it smelled like engine oil). The bars came loosely wrapped in plain brown paper. By the time I came to use the first one - maybe 2 weeks after I'd received it - they'd all turned brown on the outside. Maybe that accounted for the bad smell, but no-one's getting through 3 bars of this stuff in less than 2 weeks. One bar alone would take more than 2 weeks to get through, used daily in the shower. Lastly, it just didn't lather up for me, even once I'd chopped it down to fit into my soap bag. So, to sum up: way too big, doesn't lather up, smells bad, and is an off-putting brown colour rather than the nice green colour it should be. All in all, not a good soap, in my opinion. Won't be buying again.
