Excellent Design, Build Quality, & Customer Service!
Awesome enclosure. Great build quality! I also got the Hagibis finned heat dissipation cover and it’s a perfectly machined fit. Installed a 2TB Crucial P310 SSD (formatted as exFAT) to use with my Steam Deck and my iPhone 16 Pro Max and it works great (and was very easy to install). No complaints at all. That Crucial SSD does draw too much power to be used with the iPhone without also having power plugged into the enclosure, but I knew that going in. Hagibis has videos on YouTube showing what SSDs work without needing external power if you need to be able to use it that way. All the ports work well and being able to still have an available USB-C port while the enclosure is plugged into your device (and external power) is a big plus. The enclosure comes with two thermal pads and one seems to be a little thicker. For the Crucual P310 SSD, the thicker one will work best as the controller chip is a bit thinner than the NAND chip and the thinner pad atop the controller chip won’t make full contact with the cover plate (or finned cover). You could probably also cut a section from the thicker pad to go over the controller chip and then cut a section from the thinner pad to go over the NAND chip and it would likely work perfectly. I also wanted to use the enclosure/SSD with my work phone (iPhone 17 Pro Max) but the provided USB-C cables are, unfortunately, incompatible. However, I emailed Hagibis and Jimmy was quick to send me the cables that will work. They arrived within days, despite shipping from China and they’re physically identical to the ones that come with the enclosure. For this price, I wasn’t expecting a product or customer service comparable with Apple, but that’s what I feel like I got. Very happy with this purchase. Great value for the price!

Versatile, Multi USB-C Ports, Dual Magnetism, Capacitor
I have a very specific need, for phone videography, and this product, the pro version, fits the bill. 1) I needed to extend the capacity of my phone, that no longer supports micro SD cards. This can support up to 2TB in a small form factor. 2) I need it to support charging or else I'd have to disconnect to charge the phone. This one has a 100w PD port. 3) I need to be able to connect a my headphone via a USB-C, and this device has an extra USB-C port for just that. In fact, I can probably use this port to connect a microphone to enhance my videos. 4) I need it to be able to physically mount to my phone, and this device has MAGNETS in the Magsafe form factor so I can simply attach it to my phone with a magsafe ring. 5) I need to be able to mount my phone to a tripod, and this device has a iron plate that can be mounted to a magnetic magsafe mini tripod. You know why this is important? I can use a video / tripod handle with magsafe to steadily hold my phone. With the thickness of this device, I can't use those phone clamps with an arca foot anymore. 6) It has a capacitor that can keep the harddrive running for another 10 seconds to finalize the harddrive shutdown, in case of a power outage. Yeah, that might be important to reduce data corruption. Love it! Searching for a product that fits all of the bills is extremely hard and I'm glad I found it.

Perfect storage option for ProRes 422 HQ
This thing is awesome! Works perfectly on iPhone 16 Pro recording in ProRes 422 HQ. No issues or drops. Keep in mind; use the provided USB-C cable or equivalent. Some cables will not allow the correct transfer speeds. That’s where you will see issues recording in apps like BlackMagic Camera app and such. I see negative reviews saying folks couldn’t get it to connect to devices. It needs to be formatted using your disk utility in Windows or macOS. ExFAT is the format that allows Read and Write functions. Just a simple search on Google will tell you this. It’s not the Device that’s the issue, it’s the NVMe drive that needs the formatting. Its price point is right on! It’s super simple to use and get connected. It it’s not ugly or in the way.

Does Not Work with iPhone 17 Pro Max
Worked with my iPhone 15 Pro Max, but using the original cables it does not correct with my new iPhone 17 Pro Max. Original cables work with my Mac mini M4, but only way to connect with my iPhone 17 Pro Max was to use a USB C cable from another SSD for my Mac. It would then connect and display files on my iPhone 17 Pro Max.

Good Drive Enclosure
Love the short cables, and look of this drive. Has done well for me. Fits iPhone 17 pro max with a case well. Seller solved the cable issue for me to make it work with iphone 17. Doesn’t feel too hot when recording to. I did apply both drive adhesive tabs on top of each other so that it makes more contact with the frame.

Three USB-C ports is exactly what I needed
I film YouTube videos with my iPhone and this was exactly the SSD enclosure I needed. I need you to be able to plug this into my iPhone and also plug it into power and my micro receiver. This is the only SSD enclosure I found that has three ports built-in. It works perfectly and being able to magnetically attach the back of my phone is an added benefit. The one con I have found about this enclosure is that it gets hot pretty quickly and there isn't really a way to ventilate it. This makes it pretty durable, but especially in the warmer months I'm worried that it's going to overheat and the performance will be degraded.

It’s hard to gauge this is useless and less you have the ssd card
Because you need additional components, such ssd card the price range is between 60 so more than 800+ dollars actually I think I found something that cost more than that but based on what I know about that item once you get that memory card it’s good to go. I put this on my future wish list, but you gotta buy the card and conjunction with this item. Look up the item on the Internet or YouTube to gain more information.

MagSafe and more
Should be part of any iPhone cinematographer's kit. Firmly attaches to the back of any MagSafe iPhone. Comes with two different USB-C cables, one for the 15/16 Pro and one for the Max. I'm using it with an iPhone 15 Pro. The back of the case also is magnetic so you can stack additional devices, or in my case I'm using it with a DJI Osmo 6 and Aerbeis magnetic/MagSafe clamp adapter. Keeping the extra weight in the center of the phone allows the gimbal to keep balanced easily. Adding on an external power source and USB-C peripheral is easy and in line with the center of gravity. Always test and be careful when adding weight and using a gimbal. Throughput is fast enough to handle ProRes Raw easily. I haven't used it enough to comment on heating, just using it for short tests right now. If it does start to overheat I have a MagSafe fan that could be stacked on as well (and powered from the second USB port), albeit without using the gimbal.
