I recently tried this organic black garlic, and I was pleasantly surprised by both its taste and quality. This is the BEST garlic I have ever had!!!! It is soooo GOOD!!!! Very sweet. I ate a couple bulbs with roasted salted pecans for a snack. Be carful not to eat to much at first as garlic can cause issues if your not used to it. Will mix a few bulbs with some cream cheese & roasted sesame next to make a delicious dip for veggies. Absolutely LOVE it!!

Awesome as a snack or in a recipe. These are single elephant bulbs. Meaning, that 1 clove is the entire bulb. They are extremely moist and flavorful. I presume the skin helps keeps them that way, which means the only problem (if you want to call it as suck) is that you should likely use the entire bulb once unwrapped. For me, that is not a problem, as I LOVE to snack on these and the flavor lingers for quite a while. The intense savory/umami aspect blended with a caramelized sweetness and tones of garlic that makes this impossible for me to resist. The depth of flavor these bring to any dish is outstanding. However, the softness makes using it as an ingredient a little difficult. If the prep bothers you, the same company also makes a black garlic paste. It is just a matter of personal preference. I converted to paste for cooking and these for snacking, but these can definitely work for both.

I'm a big fan of garlic, but I've never tried black garlic. It's hard to evaluate, because I'm so fond of traditional garlic, raw or roasted. It has a mild flavor and a smooth texture. Each bulb is a single clove. The color is a little hard to accept, because it's so...black! The texture is smooth but firm; a bit too firm to spread on toast, but easily mashed. But when it comes to food seasoning, it's all about the flavor, right? The flavor is so mild I wouldn't want to add it to something that's heavily seasoned, but there are a lot of possibilities. I have several left that I can use to experiment with some of my recipes that call for garlic.

I love this product. I almost don't want to give it a good review. So I can keep it a secret , and not everybody buys it up so I cannot get any because it's not in stock. Lol It is wonderful in taste. People with no teeth, especially older folks, start slowly with small pieces, but then work yourself up. This could be very beneficial for you. I'm up to a whole one every day and feeling good. Read up on this very healthy for you!!!

When you order "one", it's one package with several in the pack. So it's worth the money. I don't think that it has much of any taste when raw. But when you heat it up in food, then the taste comes and is a very good, sweet taste. I haven't used these long yet. So I will need to wait for giving any information for health benefits. But I am happy with my purchase. Will be continuing to re-order. Update: I was eating one bulb almost every day. I finally had two left. I put it into my spaghatti, and chopped it up in the food. After starting eating it, I soon started seeing red, white & blue lights in my vision, especially when I closed my eyes. I could see my brain's electrical currents. It was extremely scary. My vision became very blurred and the lights became brighter & brigher. I had to call 911. My blood pressure was high. But by the time that they arrived, my vision was back to normal and the lights stopped. So I didn't let them take me to the hospital. But I immediately took "activated charcoal" to rid the bacteria from my body. I was fine the next day. I haven't ate any since then, and I haven't had the medical problem again. I praise God that I ate only a bite or two of some small chucks of it that day, instead of the entire bulb that I normally would do most days. I would hate to think what would happen if I had eaten the entire bulb that day. I believe it was because I didn't refrigarate it. The container only said to keep in a cool dry place, which I did. Although I can't prove it, I believe that it was Clostridium botulinum (Botulism). I am not necessarily blaming the manufactuer, but I think that the package should be changed to keep refrigated after opening. But now I am scared to ever eat them again. So I cancelled by subscription. Thank GOD that I am alive to tell the story.

I was so happy to find organic black garlic in a small, portable jar so that I could bring them with me on a road trip. I was surprised that these are not individual cloves like most garlic, but rather one whole, round little “fruit” that peels neatly and easily. The taste is good, just a tiny bit less sweet than other types I’ve tested. I could say I struck luck and will continue to buy these ( I purchased 2 cans this time) except that I had not read the fine print at the bottom of the container: Made in China. In my estimation, organic is a meaningless label in China as they use very contaminated water to grow their crops. Until I learned this I never understood why people were hesitant to buy Chinese products. Now that I do, that is the reason for the 3 instead of 5 stars. Some people might not be bothered by how their organic labeled products are actually grown, if that is you and you like black garlic, then you will be happy with these.

I bought this product to help give my immune system a boost without having to take garlic pills which just make me wreak of garlic. This product is versatile! You can eat them straight out of the container, the peeling comes off so easily, or add it to recipes like pasta sauce, or smoosh it up to add to a salad dressing or stew. Very tasty and mildly sweet. I don’t get heartburn from this garlic either, so huge bonus!

It has a truffle adjacent feel if used correctly. I mash one and add to butter or cream and add it to dishes right at the end. The finish is very deep, truffle like, umami rich finish. Super impressed. I used 3 bulbs for my mains and side lol in one meal for 2. Highly recommend. The scary review made me sus about it but I was like "listen husband if i start hillucinating or some weird ish, rush me to er" nothing happened and he then ate his dinner too in great joy.

Black garlic is sweet and of a jam like consistency. Not garlicky at all. Delicious eaten as a snack or spread on toast. So many ways to enjoy. I like snacking on it with warm brie cheese. I was disappointed to see this product is made in China. Says right on the front of the package. I purchased this one thinking it was a product of USA. Think I will just pay the few dollars more and buy Canadian. Then I know what I am getting.
