Love cake brand mousse and gel ~ best I’ve ever purchased. Leaves my hair feeling healthy and moisturized and does wonders for my curls. This Scent is OKAY - I like the other mousse scent more than this one, hold on this one is good though. My favorite cake mouse is “the whipped curl” product. I love, love, love this mousse! The scent is heavenly! I have waist length, fine blonde hair. I have to really watch what I use on it. This mousse doesn't weigh it down nor does it make it funky. It adds amazing volume. I wear my hair straight and this product adds wonderful volume. It also adds wonderful protection when using a flat iron. It is a great value for your money. A little goes a long way. It isn't sticky. It is a quality product. You will love it!

Great product for the value. It gives lightweight volume without stickiness. It holds curls and blowouts for days. And the price is great. It smells like dessert!

Love! Received yesterday and tried right away today. The smell is great. Due to allergies I can't handle most products with a perfume or floral scent and am always cautious. This definitively had a fruit smell, more fruit loops than lemon but still good and didn't linger long. Gave me a good amount of volume for the fact I didn't totally blow dry my hair and left damp. I have pretty fine hair that likes to go flat and I'm a fan of big hair so the volume it's giving without being weighed down checks an important box for me. No crunchy or sticky texture. Overall very happy I found this product and excited to try other products in this brand.

Not for thin fine hair. I was hoping for volume and it flattened my hair more and didn’t give me any volume.

Oh my good gravy, why does this smell so good. I don’t even have my hair dry yet and I’m giving it 5 stars on smell alone! Wow!!!!

I should have paid attention to the scent, lemon cake..... it is what is says LEMON CAKE. While I like to eat lemon cake, I don't want my hair to cause sudden cravings for cake. If you want to tantalize flies, mosquitos, bees and other wildlife, this product is for you. With that said, I will say the mousse does add volume without leaving your hair stiff . I have fine curly hair and it added a bit of volume that I was looking for. I prefer my hair products to smell floral or like a spa. This one unfortunately just needs a side of icing scented hairspray to complete the full cake buffet aroma.

Love this mousse. Love the scent, texture of the mousse, the way it absorbs. I especially love that it has heat protection. Minus a star because I’m not blown away by the volume aspect, could be better but still good and I will continue to repurchase unless I come across something better but can’t beat the price.

It didn’t work for my hair. It does give a nice boost of volume right after styling, but unfortunately it doesn’t last long—my hair fell flat not long after. I also noticed that it left my hair feeling dry. The scent was another downside for me; not very pleasant. Overall, not something I’d repurchase.

Smell: very sweet, like actual cake Texture: makes hair greasy/sticky on thick straight hair. Works better on curly hair or if you intend to wash your hair daily
