Great brace for a great price
I’ve relied on this brace regularly for over a year, and it’s remained supportive and comfortable. It stabilizes the thumb well without excessive stiffness and hasn’t lost structure. Easy to put on and remove, and it’s held up through frequent use.

Good quality thumb brace
I would purchase this again. I have a much more expensive brand for my other hand that I got at my orthopedic surgeon's office a few years back. I wasn't sure that the quality and fit of an online product would be good, but I was willing to try due to the price difference and ease of return if it did not fit. I am very pleased with the support and functionality to prevent joint pain while providing adequate hand mobility. The velcro quality is good and the product is washable. It comes with a thumb sleeve to prevent rubbing, which is an added bonus.

Helps support thumb and hand
Helps a lot but I wear a thin glove underneath for comfort. Great for helping with my job.

New Life in Old Bones!
The thumb guard fits snugly, but not uncomfortably. You MUST put it on to a comfortable-ish position, and then press it to form the metal for YOUR thumb. Immediately it was comfortable. I played with the velcro to test how tight I wanted the bands to be, and to see that they cross my hand WHERE my pain is, and not where some manufacturer thinks pain might be. These are right on the dot for my hand. The liners are a plus, as they keep the plastic away from skin. The only time the palm of my hand was pinched, was when i was using the wand for my vacuum cleaner. I readjusted how I hold the wand, and all went well from there. I sat and did ink drawings for about 2 hours -- a sure way to make my thumb and forefinger HURT. I was only mildly uncomfortable in my wrist at the end of that. I spent the day, with paint brush staining, rubbin on and rubbing off with rags, planting, potting, trimming, weeding, hand watering, all day. I was able to open containers, without help or contrivances!!!! And I spent the whole day working without stopping every few minutes to shake my hands and groan in pain -- the first time in YEARS. Tonight, I took them off before supper, to let my hands rest on their own for the evening, and I set the thumb braces and liners (I purchased right and left handed) to soak in warm mild soapy water. They came nicely clean and are drying on a towel overnight. These may not be the best on the market. They may be the first in a long line of experiments for this style thumb braces. For today, they passed a huge test. I will keep them and use them daily, with great appreciation for their assistance, and for the joy of being able to do much work without pain. I will see how they last - they do come with replacement velcro bands, so I do expect them to wear out at some point. This BEATS the typical thumb/wrist brace, hands down. There is full mobility, and none of the heat and irritation of being splinted into rigid place. They are much better than my gel braces, which hold dirt and sweat against my skin, for alleric reactions. For me, today, they are worth the price of even one lovely work day. I hope they last LONG. UPDATE: Day 3 - terrible storm damage on our street. All day work with leaf blower, raking, chainsaw, clippers, hauling, carrying, pulling and pushing. Working with the leaf blower was not terribly comfortable, but that big machine in small hands never is. I simply switched hands more often. With the small chainsaw, my thumb went a bit numb from the pressure of holding and pressing and maneurvering with the saw against the brace. BUT!!!! I did NOT have arthritis pain issues! I was able to work for 6 hours WITHOUT my thumbs screaming in pain from those 2 large thumb joints, or getting cramps from the big stiff brace. It's miraculous! The grime washed right out of the velcro and the little elastic layer. So I'm happier than I was at the first usage.

It works well
It is definitely helpful and so much better than the bulkier kinds. I like that it comes with an extra velcro band. After you get it adjusted right the first time you wear it, it is much more comfortable and fits the hand well. It is best to be worn with a little sleeve underneath in hot climates because the silicone on bare skin can feel gross after a bit without one.

Easy, Comfortable, Quick Drying
I have arthritis in my thumb/trapezium joint which makes any pinching or gripping with the thumb very uncomfortable. This brace provides excellent support and comfort while being easy to wear and way less bulky then others I've tried. I also love that this dries so quickly - I'm a Special Ed teacher and wash my hands dozens of times a day - I needed a brace that would fit easily under nitrile gloves and dry quickly (the bulkier braces stayed damp forever). I will suggest that if you're anywhere near the outer limits of a size, to size up. Even though I was well within the size parameters for the small, I bought both a small and a medium and found the medium to be more comfortable (the small cut off circulation - which meant I wasn't feeling any pain (win) but is otherwise less than ideal. :) The medium is still very supportive and even more comfortable. I highly recommend.

Didn't last
The Velcro on this handbrace doesn't work anymore! I bought it because is was more reasonably priced than the other one that I lost but you get what you pay for. My old one I have for my other hand still works perfectly! I think it should be replaced at no cost!

What Makes Willcom a Good CMC Brace
I was able to do a side by side comparison of 2 different brands of these CMC braces. The Willcom brace on my right hand and the PUSH CMC brace on my left. The Willcom brace sells on Amazon for $38 and the PUSH brace retails for $125. Gotta say, I like the Willcom brace better. It comes with a sleeve to wear under the brace (a necessity) and an extra velcro closure. The Willcom allows a third velco adjustment strap that PUSH does not. Also, there is some pliability between the thumb and index finger in the Willcom brace that the PUSH brace does not have. This actually causes the PUSH brace to hurt a little bit. PUSH has rigid support for the CMC joint that might be metal inside the brace. The Willcom is also rigid but maybe some kind of carbon or metal but both appear to be equally durable. Given what I know now, both my braces would be Wiilcom.
