OK but not Perfect.
Does a reasonable job but not 100%. I am sure there are better ones on the market but I couldn't find one. I still get picture break-up.

Simple to use - and very effective.
I find this is working very well. I am using a window--mounted aerial: 1byone 0.5 mm Paper Thin Transparent Window Aerial with 3 Meters High Performance Cable, Digital Freeview and DVB-T Signals VHF / UHF / FM, Digital TV Aerial with Two Suckers, Extreme Soft Design and Lightweight to watch Freeview via a USB receiver and my laptop. Without the amplifier, the signal is frequently dropping out for certain channels and quite a bit of pixellation on others. Using this amplifier I seem to have rock-solid reception on all channels. It is very simple to connect. One additional step I took - the coax aerial cables run along my desk behind my large monitors with several other power cables , so I have put a ferrite RF filter on each coax cable (between the aerial and the amplifier, and between the amplifier and the USB receiver plugged into the laptop).

Cable entry let-down
I decided to replace the existing (unknown make) signal booster which had been in use for a good few years. Impressed with the build quality of this Antiference model and the resultant picture is a tadge better. My only gripe would be that had the design been one where the cable entries (Mains and Ariel) were on the side, instead of at the bottom, then it could have been mounted on the skirting board. Impossible to do so unless you have very old type 6-8 inch Victorian skirting boards, because by the time you have inserted the co-ax plug there is no way you can screw it to a modern day skirting board Hence it was all down to drilling the wall - rawlplugs etc. Small point, but thought I would mention it.

Not as powerful as claimed
I bought this to replace an SLX1 signal booster, which had 14dB gain. After fitting the A1100R the signal strength at the TV was reduced, even though the A1100R has a claimed gain of 20dB. In the end, I used it in series with the SLX1 and have some improvement in signal strength, but it certainly doesn't seem to perform as advertised.

Better than I had expected... working well so far...

Brilliant!
We moved into a basement flat, so the aerial cable from the roof was very long and the signal weak - made weaker still by the necessity to add a further 15m cable from the socket to the TV. Our signal was between 20 and 23% and the picture kept dropping. On a limited budget our options for boosting the signal were limited, and so we plumped for this one. If it didn't work we hadn't wasted a lot of money. Well - it works brilliantly. Our signal has been boosted to between 60 and 65% and is nice and stable - and our array of channels went from 120 to 185! Highly recommended as a cheap but excellent option for boosting a weak digital signal

Pretty good
I brought this after returning a different booster because it couldnt pick up Channel 4 and 5 too well. This one is pretty much the same, leading me to believe that a booster simply cant help me in this case. It works great most of the time - I cant even pick up a freeview signal without it, so its certainly helping out. It picks up about 70-80 channels for me, and works on the weaker channels (Ch4 & 5) about 40% of the time. Pretty good - I just hope that the switchover improves these 2 channels.

Effective, well-priced freeview signal booster - unfortunately NOT DURABLE
(Originally posted April 2017) Mid-way between TV transmitters, my location always required a large external aerial and loft space signal booster. The existing 4-way booster was failing after 20 years with some tuned Freeview channels intermittently blank due to poor signal strength. I selected this unit for its high gain and was not disappointed. All Freeview channels restored to clear full strength. Also, EPG text seems to load quicker. Coaxial connections were tight and firm. The power cable and plug is of decent quality. As it was installed last week so I cannot comment on durability. (I will revisit my rating if there is deterioration). UPDATE: (March 2018): From 5 Stars down to 1 Star. After 10 months untouched in my loft, the unit failed. See attached photo of dismantled unit: I guess the coils on the right originally looked like the neat double loop on the left. Apologies to the three upvoters who may have purchased upon my earlier recommendation.
