Great product but not cost effective for large or mtiple dog homes
I love freeze dried dog food. It is just a quality product and great for dogs. It is easy to store in sealed plastic containers. Since its freeze dried a little goes a long way. Very healthy diet for any dog. That being said it is extremely expensive and not doable for most pet owners. I have a small dog so its not bad. But I couldn't imagine the cost for a large dog or multiple dog homes. But if you can afford it I would highly recommend. The texture is soft and it breaks up easily in water. I didn't notice a strong smell, less smelly then average wet foods. I started buying these for my three senior mini schnauzers. They lived to 20 and 18. Before this I would cook and prepare their meals. Not everyone can do that so this is a good option.

Great option for a small senior dog with chicken allergies
I transitioned my 10 year old Chihuahua to a fully raw diet for health and behavioral reasons (as directed by our vet) and he LOVES this food. This is a wonderful option for smaller dogs who are not able to eat chicken. It does tend to be a more expensive food compared to some of the other air-dried options but this one has been more popular with my dog than the others. There is no smell to it (woo hoo!), he loves the taste, his health overall has gotten better, and he is able to chew these with no problem (they are small and fairly soft). Would recommend!

Good food
This is really great food, but i had to quit using it. One of my dogs became a diabetic and I had to find food that was lower in sugar. My dogs loved all the different proteins to choose from too.

Loyal customer of Vital Essentials
My dog loves it, limited ingredients and raw freeze dried. We buy this or other VE products weekly. I use it as a topper and in a treat ball. We buy a lot from the Raw Bar too. Duck heads, pig snouts and salmon skin. I highly recommend. My only complaint is that sometimes you get a bag that is very clumpy. This is an inconvenience when trying to use in the treat ball as you have to break up the clumps.

it's good
I recently tried the Vital Essentials Freeze Dried Raw Dog Food in the Turkey Mini Nibs Entree flavor, and overall, it has left a positive impression on both me and my furry friend. Here are a few reasons why I'm giving it a solid 4 stars: First and foremost, the freeze-dried raw aspect of this dog food is a big win. It retains the nutritional value of the ingredients while providing a convenient and mess-free feeding experience. The mini nibs format makes portion control easy, and the 14 oz size is reasonable for the price. My dog seems to absolutely love the Turkey flavor. The fact that it's made with real, high-quality ingredients is evident in how eagerly my dog dives into his bowl. Knowing that he's getting a wholesome and protein-packed meal is a major plus. The convenience factor is a game-changer. As a busy pet owner, I appreciate the ease of preparation – simply scoop, add water, and watch the food rehydrate. It's a time-saving solution that doesn't compromise on the quality of nutrition. The 14 oz packaging is a good size for a trial or for those with smaller dogs. However, for owners with larger breeds, it might be more suitable as a supplemental or occasional treat rather than a primary meal source. While the price point is slightly higher than some traditional dog foods, the quality of the ingredients justifies the cost. It's an investment in your pet's health, and the benefits of a raw diet are well-reflected in the vitality and energy my dog exhibits. In conclusion, the Vital Essentials Freeze Dried Raw Dog Food in Turkey Mini Nibs Entree is a top-notch option for pet owners looking to provide a nutritionally rich and tasty meal for their dogs. It's convenient, well-received by pets, and offers a step towards a healthier diet. I highly recommend it for dog owners who prioritize the well-being of their furry companions.

Great food for fur babies
We have a 15 year old chihuahua and recently got a new heeler puppy, yes we’re crazy lol. The new puppy is of course always hungry due to how much energy she burns. Well we wanted to get her off to a healthier start and get our older chihuahua back to being more energetic, yes knowing he is an old man lol. We are now 6 months into this food topper, we mix with Wild Red (Red Meat Blend) and have noticed a significant change in both dogs. Coats are healthier, more energy, and overall healthier. We were feeding our puppy twice a day, once in AM and once at PM. When we switched over, a few days in, she wouldn’t really eat in the morning. We changed to once at night and now she eats all of her food! Dogs need a high protein diet and high protein means being more full so we know it’s great food for both of them. Our senior dog gets excited about dinner now! Highly recommend with no nasty byproducts!
