Great build quality with some nice features.
Why did you choose this product over others?: Having stuck to 'budget' tripods for years I've often encountered issues with stability, portability, and general functionality that should have been signs to buy a decent tripod rather than the cheapest, this is that tripod. While professionals will likely have much better options to choose from, I believe this to be an ideal choice for the amateur enthusiast. Build quality: The construction is solid, whether it's rocks, concrete, or moderate height so far no accidents have resulted in more than a light cosmetic scratch. Stability: One of the main reasons I needed an upgrade to begin with was that I had upgraded the equipment being mounted, with much larger and sensitive gear that amplified each wobble and shake, suddenly a strong gust had gone from inconvenient to downright hazardous. With the tripod however that issue is gone, without even using sandbags (or weights in general) the base stability is such that I've been able to simply pick a spot, fully extend the legs, and not encounter any perceivable movement in stills or video use, granted I'm not facing extremes like a tornado or something but this was a big deal for my environment. Functionality: Naturally there's the legs, all three of which can be extended and locked independently to suit your height, and feature adjustable feet to accommodate angled surfaces better, along with a simple combining bar to stabilise the legs when deployed. Where the really nice features come in though is the head design, with not just standard quick release but also support for DJI gimbals, independently lockable vertical and horizontal axis, adjustable sensitivity for both axis, a magnetic storage slot for the allen key used with the plate (this has been a god send), and my favourite; an adjustable arm that can be mounted on either (or if you have another, both) side allowing for use in awkward positions. Put simply, this tripod does a lot with the head that will go a long way in making your life easier in the field. Oh and there's a spirit level, because of course there is. Overall if you need an upgrade and it's at an affordable price, absolutely give this tripod a try, personally I waited for a sale and if I could go back knowing what I do now I'd have bought it at release, in a decade I may be using some crazy professional rig but for my current life this is the only tripod I want.

The Tripods
This tripod is very good. It's very sturdy and is really tall when fully erected, about 7ft tall. The only downside is that it's a little heavy, but that is probably because I'm used to using smaller lightweight travel tripods, and isn't too much of a problem. It's very good value for money and I would recommend in investing in one of these tripods.

Great head, slightly dubious support
This was bought to support a lightly-rigged Blackmagic BMPCC 6K Pro. As such, the weight capacity of the head is perfect, and the adjustable friction makes it easy to get smooth pans and tilts at the speed you want. It extends to a good height, but then the legs lose quite a bit of rigidity and with the weight of our camera, it's hard to stop them flexing when applying pressure to pan the head. Kept lower - like up to 60 inches - it seems fine and the rest of the features (align-able head in a 75mm bowl with an accurate bubble-level for example) are pretty useful.

Solid
I was looking for a video tripod for my Blackmagic 6G2 camera - the 3-way head on my Manfrotto is adequate for stills but not for any panning. I needed a fluid head and Neewer have put a good head on this tripod. It’s not light, but that helps make it sturdy. I had seen another brand that was comparable in price and had single locks on each leg (making it easier to erect); getting this one is no compromise as I only need to unlock the top legs to get it to eyeline height (the lower legs are only needed to raise it higher than I can reach)! Haven’t yet used it in anger but, trying it out suggests I can recommend this one.

Does the job
Having purchased a sigma lens 150/600mm There came an issue my tripods were not capable of supporting the weight of camera and lens I have many as keen amateur photographer Having purchased another make on Amazon which stated in advert it would take 10kg it did not and collapsed under camera and lens combined weight Return to Amazon This tripod has not collapsed and does what it says takes the weight sturdy construction Excellent

This tripod has been a fantastic addition to my gear. The build quality feels very solid, with durable materials that provide excellent stability, even when supporting heavier cameras or lighting equipment. I especially like the adjustable height options — it’s easy to set up for both tabletop shooting and full standing shots. The legs lock securely in place, and the rubber feet prevent slipping, which gives me confidence when working on different surfaces. The head is smooth and allows for precise angle adjustments, making it perfect for both photography and video recording. Setup and breakdown are quick and simple, and the tripod folds compactly for easy transport. It’s lightweight enough to carry around but strong enough to handle professional use. Overall, this tripod is sturdy, versatile, and well worth the price. Highly recommended for photographers, videographers, or content creators who need a dependable stand for their gear.

I'm a bit old-school so I know how much kit like this is 'supposed to cost'. And it's a lot more than this, let me tell you. For the money, this is a remarkably good tripod. It's solid, it's smooth, the head and plate are excellent. Little features like the magnetically locked hex key are appreciated. The rubber feet rotate to lay flat with the ground. Nice. I have Neewer lights, and now this. The next time I need a bit of camera gear, I'm heading straight to the Neewer store here on Amazon. If they have a product, I'm just buying it. No further research required. Trust earned. Amazing. Note to the real pros: this is AU$210. You probably shouldn't expect it to survive a visit to the front lines. For that you might still need to spend a couple of grand.
