I've been magnet fishing several times now. The River Thames is the go to place for pulling out wierd and wonderful items, and this magnet does the job really well. The fact it comes in a sturdy box is an added bonus. I'm a support worker, and I asked the person I support (who's Autistic) whether he would like to give it a go - he agreed. He really enjoyed it (even though he only pulled up a 1p piece) and has said he now wants to buy his own.

Nice kit, sturdy case. Strong magnetic great value for money, great magnet size, very easy to use.

Got this as un upgrade to the set I ordered and this does just fine for what I want. Had a few big bits out of river so far. Just make sure you use thread lock on the bracket. Happy magnet fishing

This magnet is terrible! I'm sorry but for the money it's not worth it pay a bit more and buy the beast magnet in stead if u need to get anything out of the river we magnet fish all the time and my son wanted the purple one but that's it's only selling point! It will attach to things but no way it will lift it out! We need to use beast for that the extent this magnet will actually lift is bottle caps pennies and nails a few bolts but anything heavier forget it! Please don't waste your money on this magnet I wish I hadn't as now they all fight over the beast but I'm disabled so it's something I enjoy with my grown kids but very expensive if u have little money coming in as it is so now saving for another beast but if u are serious magnet fishers then don't waste money on inferior magnets like this one and go for 360 if u can?

Great magnet excellent strength you can collect hidden treasure as you pull the magnet back through the river whilst collecting loads of metal and push bikes to. No dislikes at the moment with this 360 degree magnet. I use this item for magnet fishing + finding hidden treasure.

Just what i needed and well made

Yes it is awesome, it is what I expected. But the magnet isn’t a 2000 lbs strength. Lol but I didn’t figure it would be when I ordered it. But still plenty strong enough for what I was wanting to do. Everything is well made and a heck of a lot of fun.

This is the perfect kit. Love it....not too heavy magnet. I can throw with no problem...(older granny) and I love everything in the case to keep together.

I'm sure the companies have some sort of lab test to give magnets their ratings, but your shouldn't put too much faith in those numbers when using in the real world. The rated pull should correspond to how strong the surrounding magnetic field is and yet ... this unit can grab a free nail about 2" away. It is not at all difficult to remove any object stuck to it, so I don't see where their 1320 lbs. pull rating comes into play. Maybe under 'ideal and specific' conditions, but in practical use it's just another magnet.

Excellent. I actually have it stored, holding rope and gear from the I-Beam in my basement. Only way to get it off is with a pry bar. It’s the bits, yeah.

Let me tell you about this guy. It’s small easy to carry but don’t let it get too attached to your car. This thing attracts to metal the way how Cupid attaches couples. Havent found any cons yet about this yet.
