The TempIR thermometer is easy to use and, importantly, is accurate. I spent quite a bit of time looking at the various thermometers before deciding on this one. I decided against the old fashioned "under the armpit" ones because you have to get the child to "play along" and if you haven't warmed it they get a bit of a cold shock. Cue crying baby! I also steered away from the in ear ones, even though they are very accurate, purely because most come with disposable plastic covers. This is just another fiddly thing I didn't need, nor want to deal with when I have run out of sleeves. So, infrared non-touch it was going to be. There are quite a few on the market now so I had to whittle them down a bit. I avoided those with bad reviews (not just on Amazon) and then gave myself a price cap. That left me with only a few thermometers chose from as a lot of the "branded" ones come with a pretty steep price tag. Is the TempIR any good? Yes it is. It is made of plastic but feels quite solid and I am sure it will last, unless you give it to a toddler to play with! Nothing is toddler proof! The unit is very easy to use. It has an on/off button on the side and you can cycle through the different modes with one button on the front left. You have room, surface and body temp modes to choose from (just make sure you are on the right one). I compared it with an good old fashioned thermometer and the readings were spot on, although I still want to compare it with another digital IR Thermometer to see if there is a difference. Overall, I rate this as an excellent product which is also great value for money.

Ordered the TempIR thermometer and received it very promptly. I have a 10 week old granddaughter who stays regularly with us, so this non contact thermometer is great for us when she had her jabs and we needed to monitor her temperature without waking her. It is easy to use because there is a quick start guide for fast use and then also a small pamphlet for more detailed information of all the multi functions. Really pleased with my purchase. This a is wonderful product, is very accurate and all important, you can turn the beep off to check little ones temperatures at night. You do need to read the instructions and make sure you are the right distance from the temple otherwise everyone will have a temperature! My 5 year old loved checking all our temperatures and the temperature of my tea, her baby sisters legs, her bath, our dinner etc. As there is no contact there is no mess and is very hygienic. Really easy to use. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a product that works, is accurate, easy to use and will last. Worth every penny.

Bought to replace an old "in-ear" thermometer with the thinking that it would be less invasive this thermometer is a bit more functional than the Braun in-ear model. It's able to read room, surface and body temperature. Operation is as simple as pushing the button go turn it on, selecting the mode you want (it remembers the last mode you used) and pressing the button again to take a reading. The display is illuminated so you can read it at night, although it is actually pretty bright, so could wake little one up. It lso beeps to let you know the basics. One beep when it's turned on, another when it's taken the reading, or three more urgent sounding beeps if the body temperature is above 38C. It runs on a couple of AA batteries and it looks like they will last a fair while before they need replacing. The only down-side is that the readings can be rather erratic, varying by as much as 1degree C. It's easy enough to deal with, just take three readings and go for the average. All things considered, it does a good job at a reasonable price.

Impressive piece of kit. I've cross checked the readings from a stick thermometer and it seems very accurate, I now accept the readings with confidence. One of my concerns was being able to mute the beeps for checking babies and children in their sleep. This has a little toggle button on the side for silencing the beeps. Another concern was no beam or light to show the exact area it was focussed on. Well you hold it only an inch or two away so it is blazingly obvious. It gives the temperature very quickly, it is easy to use and I have no qualms about recommending it.

Facile da usare, chiaro nelle indicazioni, visibile al buio grazie al visore retroilluminato, oltre a rilevare la temperatura corporea in meno di un secondo (motivo per cui l'ho comprato), modificando con il comodo selettore, è possibile misurare anche la temperatura ambiente e la temperatura di un liquido od una superficie. Pertanto possiamo sapere a quanto si trova la stanza della persona malata, la temperatura del biberon o della tisana oppure verificare che la parete del forno della cucina sia freddo per i bambini. Insomma multiuso. Riguardo l'affidabilità della misurazione, ho fatto prove comparative (solo per la temperatura corporea ovviamente) con il vecchio termometro a mercurio ed altro termometro digitale: perfetto! Aggiungo che alle iniziali istruzioni in inglese presenti nella confezione, mi sono state recapitate sulla mia casella di posta elettronica, con mia sorpresa non avendole richieste, quelle in italiano con lettera di scuse per non averle inserite inizialmente.

Contrairement à d'autres thermomètres vendu sur Amazon, celui-ci donne des résultats quasiment toujours identiques: il y a parfois un écart de 0.1°C ou 0.2°C entre deux mesures. Si vous constatez un écart avec votre thermomètre classique,vous pouvez étalonner celui-ci. La notice le rappel, mais il est important que le thermomètre soit à la température de la pièce et de prendre la mesure à la bonne distance (3-5 cm). Les personnes qui ont des problèmes doivent surement prendre la température sans respecter ces consignes. Il est très simple d'utilisation: - Un bouton permet de changer le mode ( Mesure pour le corps, mesure d'une surface, mesure de la température de la pièce) - Un bouton pour °C ou °F - Un bouton pour parcourir les dernières mesures enregistrées - Un bouton sur le côté permet avec un seul clic de couper le son de l'appareil. L'écran est rétroéclairé. Une petite pochette est fournie avec l'appareil. L'appareil possède un numéro de série. (Voir photo). Selon moi, cela atteste que leur thermomètre sont suivis et de qualité, ce n'est pas un jouet fabriqué à la chaîne.

Funciona bien, pero hay que aclimatarlo a la habitación antes de usarlo porque puede dar lecturas erróneas. Que no se pegue al bebé es una ventaja porque teníamos otro de contacto y el bebé se movía y daban lecturas diferentes cada vez. Es rápido, en solo un segundo da la temperatura. Lo suyo es tomarla dos veces y ver que coincida. Lo de la temperatura de la estancia o de superficie es una chorradilla, a mi parecer. Se usa poco.

Ich habe den Fieberthermometer heute bekommen zuverlässig wie immer von Amazon.....jedoch die Beschreibung war nur in Englisch, und da geht absolut gar nichts bei dem Thermometer, ich habe die Batterien sogar ausgetauscht und neue rein, obwohl man ja davon ausgehen sollte dass neue dabei sind..aber ich wollte das ausschließen....es funktioniert rein absolut nichts..! Das Ding ist tot..!! Ich gehe jetzt in die Apotheke und kaufe mir dort einen, nicht empgehlenswert und das bei dem Preis.!!

Lecture facile (grands caractères). S'éclaire puis se met en veille seul rapidement. Pas de lumière ou led inutiles donc pas énergivore a priori. Bonne prise en main, est léger mais semble robuste (plastique très dur de bonne qualité). On peut enlever le bip sonore si on le désire, c'est un plus (et encore moins énergivore donc). Semble fiable avec des mesures reproductibles au moins pour les 2 modes "body" et "room" (T° du corps et T° de la pièce). difficile à dire pour le 3eme mode (T° de surface) ... Plus simple à utiliser que le thermomètre avec embout dans l'oreille que j'avais avant, plus hygiénique aussi. Je suis satisfaite.
