This rocker knife is handy for cutting food with one hand. I purchased it when I had hand surgery and couldn't hold a knife in one hand and fork in the other. It is VERY sharp! Recently had it stored in a drawer with other knives, skewers, serving spoons, etc. Reached into the drawer looking for a serving spoon and felt something poke my finger. Thought I just "poked" it until I pulled my hand out and the end of my finger was dripping blood. I must have poked the corner edge of this knife as nothing else in the drawer was this sharp. It cuts easily! But store it in it's case so you don't do what I did.

this knife has truly changed my life. i’m 30 years old and had an accident last summer that ended up with my arm being amputated. i’m extremely independent but one thing i couldn’t figure out was cutting food on my own. well, i can now! i’ve used it for steak, chicken, pork, etc. and it’s perfect. i actually cut my food quicker than my boyfriend cuts his with 2 hands lol. also, it comes with a little case which is so convenient for me because i just throw it in my purse when i go out to dinner. i definitely recommend for amputees, arthritic hands, paralysis, etc.

The knife will work well, I think. Unfortunately, I'm having to learn how to use it with my non-dominant hand. It's hard for me to remember to use the knife as it is intended, not how my brain "knows" a knife should be used! That's on me, though, not the knife. However, I suggest NOT putting it in the dishwasher. I've only done so once, and the wood is significantly tougher and feels like it could get very splintery. I'm trying to decide if I should return it for an exchange. I do love the case it comes with!

Was having thumb surgery on my dominant hand and tried to anticipate what would make my life easier as a "lefty" until I could use my right hand again; (Typing with left hand only!). This knife was amazing. Besides cutting chicken, salad etc.. you'd be surprised what you end up using this knife for. I can't use scissors, so the hook like end can puncture a bag enough for me to use my left had to get inside and rip it open. I'm able to slice bananas for my morning cereal. Whether or not you are thinking about this knife for the same reasons I bought it, or you just need it because your strength is waning, don't hesitate to purchase this knife. It's been a life saver for me!!

Great tool for one handed cutting. If you have had a stroke, brain injury, M.S, or other injury that has resulted in the loss of functional use of a hand/arm, this tool is perfect to increase independence with feeding yourself. As an OT, Irecommend to all of my patients and have great success!

This really works well. My dad is paralyzed on his left side. He still loves his steak and other meats but it is a bummer when someone else has to cut it for him. He appreciates being able to cut his own meat again!

The knife has a very sharp point and edge that is good for use. I made a cover from some plastic, so the knife won't damage or injure something or someone. Shame that the manufacturer is too cheap to provide this. My other rocker knife came with a cover. It does come with a long fabric sheath. Keeping it clean and free of food debris will be a hassle.

I bought this rocker knife for my daughter who can only use one hand due to a stroke. The ones in Australia have been changed to include a fork on the opposite side which is useless as it's only needed for cutting. Yours is perfect as it has a wider blade and my daughter said it's even sharper than the older one she got here, and it comes with a carry case which is a good idea so my daughter can go to a restaurant and safely carry the knife with her in her bag. It's so good I've ordered another one and I hope they continue to carry them forever. It would be even better to find a distributor in AUSTRALIA.

This is an awesome knife. I use it to cut cooked chicken and it goes through almost like a hot knife through butter. What I struggled to cut through using a paring knife is super easy and pain-free now. With a paring knife, I have to use my index finger to press down on the knife while cutting, which causes a lot of pain in that finger and my thumb and wrist. I don't hold the rocker knife the same way and all that pain is eliminated. LOVE it!! It's also scary sharp (for me), which obviously helps it cut so easily, so I always use a cutting board and I'm glad my hands are nowhere near the blade.
