Enjoyed the WWII patriotism
Don't usually review anymore. But I really enjoyed this collection of Donald Duck comic strips. I particularly enjoyed the patriotic ones: the rationing of meat & gas, & the purchasing of war bonds & war stamps. For those that don't know, the characters of Donald & his nephews in the comic strips is far different from that in the comic books.

Nostalgic and very well drawn
These adventures of Donald Duck are pure nostalgia for me. I loved the characters then and still do now. The ducks are well drawn and the gags were fresh and funny. A few gags may be lost on todays generation but most are quite universal. Highly recommended.

A nice collectors volume
This is a good selection of comic strips from daily papers. There are good tie ins with WWII as well.

Eu não era nascido quando estas tiras saíram nos jornais,não sei se foram lançadas no Brasil,mas Donald fez parte da minha infância,infelizmente não fará parte da infância da maior parte das crianças. As crianças no futuro acharam que não perderam nada,mas nós sabemos que estas crianças terão uma infância vazia. Quem é Mickey? Tio Patinhas? Snoopy? Jogar bolinha de gude? Jogar pião? Pique escondi? Forte Apache? Etc... e Etc... Tudo que foi bom,um dia será totalmente esquecido. Até nossa história será esquecida,os livros deixaram de existir. Não deveríamos nunca,deixar o passado morrer........

Who does not love this adorable duck and his antics, it never seems to amaze me as to how much we did not receive here in Britain, and obviously from America we can now look into past strips of Donald Duck. I look forward to other volumes when available.
