I had to have this for a graduation, and it is affordable. Not an item of everyday use...

Perfect fit for an occasion (e.g. graduation ceremony).

This is a great looking tam with an adjustable strap. I recommend this tam to anyone with a hairstyle that might require some extra space around their head. My poor friend who had gotten her hair done for the ceremony in a voluminous style (and did not have a tam with an adjustable strap) ended up with a very unflattering line across her forehead and a headache to match. This same tam had fit her well when she had tried it on with her hair styled differently - this "crisis" would have been averted with the strap that the Newrara Tam offers. My only slight complaint is the unstructured nature of the hat makes it a little bit floppy in an uneven way. It still looks great, but could perhaps look better if the fabric were slightly stiffer.

I absolutely loved this doctoral hat! The rich velvet material looks so elegant and made my special occasion—my graduation ceremony—truly momentous. It was comfortable to wear, fit perfectly, and I got great pictures wearing it.
