Do you all feel a more expensive steamer works better? I would like to buy this one, but is it good?

Yes! I am very happy with the one. I do not think you have to spend more for a facial steamer. The only issues I have with it is that the sides of my face do not get as much steam as the rest of my face. I think this is due to the fact that I have a smaller face and the opening is made for more of a general sized face. That’s not the fault of the maker. That’s just my own biology.

In the picture it looks like it also comes with a blackhead remover and other items. Is that correct?

Can you add salt to the water?

I have not tried it.  However, adding salt to the water will cause the water to boil more rapidly and hotter. The metal dish that holds the water is 1 inch deep and I holds up to 40ml of water. I recommend 30ml. The steam does well at level 1 and it's intense at level 2. I personally would not add salt for your safety.

How often do you use this? Trying everything to clear my skin i have a lot of deep blackheads

I have terrible black heads and super weird combination skin so I have to get just the right balance. I have noticed since I started using this 1-2 times per week and continuing clay masks and adequate moisturizer they decreased significantly. I don't know about you, but I have to use several products. I used to use it about every other day (ish) and I felt it started to dry me out (oxymoron right?!) but when I cut back to 1-2 times it helped so much more. I can really tell on weeks when I've been slacking and have t really used in a while, the black heads get super bad. Also, this really helps with sinus problems if you have them. Hope this helps!
