If you like tritium you need to get one of these tripple fobs. 5/5 stars.

Well this little guy looks pretty awesome. First of all this is not for everyone. If you have money to spend and are into stuff like this (Radioactive tritium encased in a titanium key ring) then definitely check this out. It's much smaller than you would think unless you really analyzed the photo with the quarter next to it. I ordered the vials of tritium through a different vendor. The vials are very easy to install. The only thing I'm not happy about is the split key ring it comes with. It's made of some very inelastic alloy and after I attached it to my keys it did not return to it's original form. That's frustrating when the price tag is expensive for something people normally spend a few dollars on. I ended up using a different ring that I found in my random stuff drawer. Fortunately, the price tag and the super rigid split ring doesn't change the fact that this thing is super badass. I had it for over a month and have had no issues with the vials breaking or any scratches/blemishes. The tritium vials glow the perfect amount of light so you can spot them in a dark room. Keep in mind these are not a flashlight. I went for all blue but you can choose any combination of colors that are offered. Like I said though this is not for everyone but I certainly enjoy the fact that I carry around radioactive material that glows.

*************************** UPDATE (November 2019) **************************** One year strong! Not a single complaint and the fob is in great condition, super happy I went with this one! *************************** Original Post (October 2018) ************************** After meticulous research to see which one of these little fobs would hold up best I ended up settling on this one, partly because it holds 3 tritium vials which I thought was cool, and partly because all of these single tritium vial holders seem to have reports of bending and breaking. I just finished installing the 3 tritium vials into the fob, and have to say I'm thoroughly impressed. Initially I was concerned about whether or not the tritium was going to be able to show very well through what I considered to be relatively narrow grooves. But after having messed around with it for a little bit, it glows very nicely. Also the fob itself is almost weightless as titanium is a very light yet strong metal. Over all I'm super pleased, I'll add and update in a couple weeks as to how it's holding up and if I'm still in love with it.

The device is in the shape of a triangular prism, so you can see each vial unobstructed when viewed from each corner. The vials are held in the device by means of 3 rubber plugs, which are partially covered by an oring that fits around the keyring post. One may think this wouldn't be secure, but it would take some effort (pulling them out with a needle after removing the oring) for the vials to come out after plugging the holes. There is ~1mm of titanium protruding out from each vial at its thinnest points protecting each vial, so that's how far something would have to fit between each rib (at least) to be able to touch/damage one. The vials fit perfectly with no rattle side to side, as the tolerances are exact. The plugs insure that a slight deviation in length of your vials won't cause them to be broken from pressure at the ends.

Update: so it’s been over a year with this on my keys. I’ve had no vials break and I’ve even took vials out and swapped colors. I mentioned in my review being unsure how well the rubber stoppers would hold the vials in and I can confidently say that’s not something you have to worry about. I see no wear marks or scratches of any kind it still looks like it did when I got it. Overall I’m very happy with it. I saw some reviews of people having a hard time finding the tritium vials to fill this with so I’ll make it easy for you here. You need to go to eBay, search “nite gts vial” it should be the first result. The seller is “kitwizardcom” so you know you have the right one. The 3mm X 22.5mm is what I bought and they fit well. I haven’t done a ton of research into buying tritium but these seem like a very fair price with a good color selection and I’ve bought 4 from this seller with no issues and quick shipping. Hope that helps. As for the actual review. This product is pretty pricey for what it is. By the time you buy the tritium to fill it you are looking at just shy of 100 bucks total. It’s a pricey key chain but I also think it’s pretty cool so if you don’t mind spending the money then the overall value isn’t that big of a deal. Just know what you are getting into before hand. The packaging is nice, the little plastic container the rubber stopper and o rings come in is neat but also very annoying to open. It’s very small to hold on to while trying to open and I was scared I was going to drop it by the time I got it open. Not a huge deal just try and open it over something that will catch anything that might fall out. I appreciate they include plenty of extra rubber stoppers and an extra o ring. I’m not a huge fan of the rubber stopper keeping the vials in place but we’ll see how it holds up over time. If I have any issues in the future I’ll be sure to update. Overall this is a pricey keychain but you know that going in to it. I don’t necessarily think it’s worth the price but it’s a relatively niche product so you are paying for that. I do like it though and I think it looks great when it’s all filled. If this is something you are in to and don’t mind spending about 100 bucks overall for it then you won’t be disappointed in it.
