The tripod is a no brand homage to the Manfrotto mini tripod, and it’s really well made. Mine was difficult to use at first as the plastic was moulded really tightly around the ball fitting, where as the Manfrotto was free and smooth out of the box. Some vigorous wiggling freed the head and it now operates smoothly, as intended. It comes with a couple of metal clamps, which are heavy and solidly built, inspiring confidence in their deployment and use. This kit gives you a plethora of mounting options, more than the modest price would suggest. The tripod is compact and light ( tough plastic ), but stable and can be used as a hand grip, however, squeezing it can produce handling noise, so take appropriate precautions, like putting a piece of high density foam between the legs. The other clamps are all metal and significantly heavier. This is a great kit and I would highly recommend it. If you’re a brand snob buy the Manfrotto and miss out on the metal clamps.

Excellent versatility, solidly made, wish I’d found this set long long ago. I use the unit for a Zoom H5 4-track recorder. The functionality was increased by adding a shock mount for the recorder from another maker. The included tripod is just the size for table top use, and the legs fold up for storage and make a reasonable hand grip. ( One has to be careful not to click the legs together while using it as a handle, but it works pretty well. ) The tripod does not extend past the initial size, but that is not something I need or want in the unit like this.) The clamp, cold-shoe, and the two additional double-jointed gimbals add significant value to the package, and ridiculous versatility at a good price. (And these are truly three distinct pieces, you can use each one or all of them at the same time — or mix-and-match pieces by connecting the two gimbals together etc Good quality, good value, good functionality; great versatility. What’s not to like?

Good engineering. no shortcuts or feeble parts. Works exactly as I needed.

This is just what I needed. I have it clamped to my mixer rack and record to the Zoom from the headphone jack on the mixer. Works perfectly! I did have to watch a few YouTube videos but it didn’t take very long to figure it all out.

I feel oppressed seduced deceived and tempted to give up trying to find a camera since I got that holder in the package also.
