How long does the battery last?

My battery lasted about a year and a half. On average 3 swims per week. I put in a replacement battery and that only lasted about 1 month before pooping out, so that didn't work out.

How is the button to use? is it hard, my old one is pretty ez.

I find it very easy to compress the button. I swim three times a week. and I depend on it to keep count of the laps to reach my 1/2 mile goal at each swim. Just compress the button with your thumb. I am 78 years old and can still press the button without any difficulty.

Can I make it sound an alarm after I reach a certain number of laps?

It does not have an alarm feature.

My 1st one lasted more than 3 years - strap broke. This 2nd one, purchased Dec 2019, takes longer to register the lap time. Anyone else notice that?

The Chrono model has a pause feature, so it takes a second to be sure that the button is registering a lap, and not just initiating a "pause". Of course, the software takes that into account, so the resulting times are completely accurate. The LCT (blue) model works in a very similar way, but it does not have a pause feature, so the lap count and time are registered immediately.
