Tweaker Tech for the Winning
Arrived early, and I was really impressed by the quality of construction of both the tail light and the headlight unit. Using them for an electric scooter in a rural area and to scooter at night can be problematic. Raccoons, cougar, deer, possums, bobcats and coyotes are all found around here at night in abundance this time of year. Having a better look at the road ahead makes a safer trip possible, and having the ability to charge the phone off the light is great because the phone app runs the scooter, so a little extra juice for the phone increases and extends range for a single charge trip. The rear light is made of thick plastic, feels solid and not at all the type of material you expect to receive at this affordable price. I read others review these saying the same thing, I'm here to confirm their assessment. There's no hiding a cheap build, or shabby design. This item is a crucial addition to any cyclist, scootist or really any nite time activity where being visible and seeing your way is desirable. The taillight has different modes so you can confuse your enemies and the headlight cleverly detaches from the mount if you choose to just carry it in your pocket and use as a flashlight off the mount or as a phone charger wherever you might need it. Light is bright as you will need, mounting system rugged, dependable and easy to install, battery life is adequate, but most importantly the cool factor is a 77.77 and the always coveted Maguyver Gear ranking is a respectable 6.9. For those in the know, a gadget like this can also get you invited to the "Productive Tweaker Tech Repairish Techniques Conference" that was cancelled last year but should be back on schedule in September where a light that can charge your phone and mount on electric scooters are considered the holy grail of Amazon sourced Tweaker Tech.

So far so great
Feels really nice and durable. It's much brighter than I ever expected and I love how easy it is to charge, click into the handle bar mount and then quickly unclick to go in somewhere or use as a hand held flashlight. Taillight seems good. The rubber bits to protect the on/off button and charging port seem durable. The way it mounts to the bike is pretty quick, the only thing that time will tell is if the rubber begins to deteriorate in Texas heat even when removing the light when not actively using and never parking in direct sun (I have an ebike so I can't park in the sun and the bike lives inside when not in use). My only minor thing is so minor that I don't feel it warrants taking off even half a star, because my ebike has an integrated Taillight, I don't want to put a second one close enough to block or confuse drivers from realizing the integrated one gets brighter when braking. I technically can put this one anywhere but because I have a Longtail with kid passenger bars I need to mount it on a horizontal bar. I can still totally do this without issue, I'm only concerned about rain trying to find its way past the protective rubber if this is an unintended direction to have the Taillight. That being said, I don't even know for sure that this would eventually ever be a problem or if it's something they already tested and accounted for. So far it has had no issues and it's definitely more reliable than others I have used.

Liked it so much I bought two!
I have an Apollo Explore electric scooter. The middle of the handlebars is thicker than any standardized handlebar so most mounts were far too small for me. The mount on this light is sorta like a big, wide zip tie which means you don't have to have a standard circumference bar to put it on. Then once you click the mounting band into place you reinforce it with the provided screw-on sleeve. Works great and mounted without tools in literally about a minute. Just one would have been enough but since nothing else really fits on the other side of the middle section of my handlebars I decided to get two. Let me tell ya it lights up the road and you can see me coming from far away. It's like a motorcycle headlight. I put one of the red lights onto my bicycle helmet and the other on the seat stem of my bicycle. Probably not "technically" 1000 lumens but that should be assumed by the price and it doesn't really matter. It's still a very bright light.

Good light
Nice light, definitely not 1000 lumen, but is bright enough to use at night. Tail light works well too. Both are very to install and are removed easily for charging. I like the different settings on the tail light. I think the blinking light is easier to see at night.

Very useful! Lasting me a long time so far
I really like this little light, been using it for 3 years now and it seems to take quite a long time to use up its capacity with just the light. The ability to charge other devices sets it apart from another bike light I have, and lets it double as a flashlight and backup battery. I use it all the time and it's replaced all the crappy little flashlights I had in the past. Holding down on the power button turns it off, and it'll be the same setting when you turn it back on, preventing the need for cycling through everything. Haven't tested the waterproofing but I do trust the seals. The mount is pretty secure and can be added onto quite a lot, and the connecting clip on the light itself is versatile so you could clip it onto a bracelet or belt easily, again, unlike the other bike light I've used. The red one I don't use as much, but it's got a good set of modes and still works well after sitting without charging for those 3 years.

Great product!
Below has been my experience of using this product for ~3months fairly regularly Pros: 1. Works in the rain (recently tested) 2. Holds charge for a considerable amount of time, and gives a heads up when battery runs low (the green lighting around the on button goes red) 3. Mounting bracket is convenient (no tools needed) and durable 4. Low-cost Cons: Brightness is a little low on lighted streets like others have noted, but this wasn't a big issue for me.

Light the way!
I've been buying bike lights for many years, but finally settled on purchasing 4 of these Ovetour bike light sets (2 sets for each bike). I like to have extra lights to switch them in and out when they need charging. I ride in the early morning, and it in Fall and Winter, I'm out before the sun comes up. I set up 2 front lights on Bike A. One light is solid on and the other flashes. The front light construction is sturdy and solid. It has a metal housing and isn't too light (which means the battery size is decent). The metal clip to secure to the handle bar is easy to use and doesn't rattle or slip. The back light is all plastic, but still has decent battery life and is pretty bright. At $20 the price is get value. My only complaint is that the lights both still use micro-USB, where most newer lights have switched to USB-C.

Problem with mounting on both front and rear lights
Ovetour is one of the better after-market bicycle accessory companies, so when I was looking for a front and rear mounted bike lights I bought this set (rated 4.6 out of 5). The lights themselves are bright & can be seen from quite a distance, even in day light. My issues, and there are two, have to do with the mounting designs for both lights. First the rear light mount: it is nothing more than a glorified thick, black rubber-band that slips over a small bend of metal to hold it in place. I was able to mount the rear light, but it is not secure and it felt like it was going to break when I put the light on the rear of the seat post. The light moves around and as I do some off-road (I own a hybrid) riding where it gets jostled around and twists. I am very concerned that it will fall off and I'll lose it either on or off road without knowing it. There is no way to tighten it further. A simple mounting bracket or use of cable ties would solve the problem, but I cannot add those myself due to the design. The front mount is a much better & stronger mount, but due to the design decision to put the charging port on the bottom of the light (as opposed to the top, either side or the rear) means that I must remove the light from the mount every time I want to re-charge the light. Once the light is mounted to the handlebars the charging port cannot be accessed. I like the look & brightness of the two lights, but the hassle of the front mount not allowing me to charge the light while attached to the bike, and the rear mount being unstable, are real disappointments. I would NOT recommend this set of lights to my riding friends - there are too many other companies that can provide better mounting options.
