After trying several disappointing third‑party blades, I decided to give this one a shot. The product description says it won’t fit Wahl clippers, but after doing some research I chose to try it anyway. As you can see in the photos, it uses the same locking mechanism as the Wahl Competition Series. It fit my Wahl SS‑Pro perfectly, so if your clippers use Wahl Competition Series or Wahl Ultimate Competition Series blades, this should work. Pros: Arrives in a sealed factory plastic package — you have to cut it open, so there’s no question about whether it’s new. Excellent build quality. Very sharp and easy to use. Fits Wahl SS‑Pro; same locking mechanism as Wahl Competition Series. Cons: The price is on the higher side. That's why 4 stars. Longevity is still to be determined, but the first use was smooth and trouble‑free. Will update after several cuts.

Just what I needed—exactly as described. They are good quality and arrived very quickly.

Having a high-end animal.clipper for dogs and horses, it's much quieter than most, and allows you to interchange blades easily. This blade works great! My Dog is an IrishDoodle, literally five different kinds of hair. It doesn't jam, glides through the hair nicely, and once cut with the hair direction, can cut about 1/4" to 3/8" shorter, smoothly. I know most say to wash your dog first, after brushing my dog first, I am even able to cut him without issues. Out of 5 blades purchased, only Andis works, and this one works best out of the 2 Andis blades. This is a winner for mixed (curly/straight) hair.

I groom my Standard Poodle and I thought I could make do with the plastic snap-on combs instead of buying this blade. Why did I wait? I just used it today for the first time and it's worth buying! I tend to wait longer than I should between grooming because it's either an all-day event to bathe and groom my Poodle, or I pay a hundred bucks to have someone else do it. So by the time I get around to grooming, his hair is pretty long. I used to put a snap-on comb onto my clipper and take off as much hair as I could before the bath (why wash and dry all that hair I'm just going to cut off anyway, right?) But the plastic combs get caught up in the curly Poodle hair, or they fall off and I take a bigger chunk of hair than I had intended, or the comb gets all clogged up with hair and I have to take it off and clean it several times. Today I took off a wastebasket full of hair with this blade before the bath , then bathed and blow-dried the dog, then clipped his coat again with this blade to even it up and finish the groom. It worked great! I thought I'd have the problem of the blade not cutting the dog's hair, as other reviewers have mentioned, but once I made sure the blade was flat against the dogs skin, it cut just fine. It's also much easier to clip a dog when the coat has been blow-dried - I bought a "blaster" dog dryer (the Double K Challenge Air 2 speed) many years ago and it was definitely a good investment - it gets the curly Poodle hair nice and straight so I can clip and scissor his coat and make him look as nice as a professional groomer! I mentioned that I clip the dog before I bathe him - I have been told this is not good for the blades because the dirt in the coat will dull the blade, but I still do it anyway, first of all because I groom about 6 times a year, so the blades aren't doing a lot of cutting, and I haven't noticed they dull any faster than the blades I don't use on a dirty coat, and also because I don't mind sending my blades out to be sharpened.

Blades weren't sharp from the manufacturer. No returns, no refunds, no replacement. This item is a known brand, and it was not the first time I ordered them. They use to be functioning pretty well! Last order I bought 2 pieces, and both of them were defected or damaged! Bad luck I guess! I hope to hear from the seller about this issue.

These are honestly so cheap and affordable on Amazon it's the only place I'll buy these blades. They work amazingly on both of my dogs, who both have very different coats (standard poodle and mini schnauzer). I usually have two at all times and switch them out as they get a little warm. Love these blades and haven't found a brand yet that works as well, or is as high-quality for the price as Andis.
