First off this thing is HUGE, way bigger than my little Graco travel system carseat. I could have very easily put the carseat base in there as well (as was my original plan, but this seat does not require a base so I left it at home rather than haul around the extra weight). This cover will also easily fit my larger seat that my husband keeps in his car. In fact it would likely hold two of the small Graco carseat/carriers! Remember not to leave your handle up! There is a lot of padding and it protected the seat very well- I know a lot of reviews expressed concern about that. And with the extra space- vast, vast quantities of extra space- I was able to pack my boppy pillow, extra diapers, blankets, and on the way back, two big loaves of Portuguese Sweet Bread (very subject to being smooshed in the suitcase, but well protected riding in the carseat!). With a large carseat, you won't have this luxury but for the small-to-medium seats you'll have tons of room! (I learned this trick from another reviewer so passing the idea on to y'all!) The airlines do NOT charge you for checking a car seat. **Q: Will it accomodate a small infant carseat (Nuna Pipa)?** A: Yes definitely. I set my nuna pipa lx with the leg base and had even extra room for some diapers **Q: Does it fit the britax advocate?** A: We actually have the advocate and it DOES NOT fit the advocate. Thus the reason we returned this. The advocate is a monster car seat and we have yet to find something to fit. What we do is just use the bags that are provided at the check in counter, and we bring it with us to the gate. You can purchase a little hand roller to attach to the advocate to help you carry it to the gate. **Q: Does the Chicco NextFit car seat fit in this bag?** A: YES, it fits the Chicco NextFit. At first I thought it wouldn't, but after a bit of arranging and minor wrestling, it does fit. The NextFit should be in the fully upright position, squarely in center of the bag, and then zipped up. You may have to squeeze the sides a bit (near where the child's shoulders would be), but it will zip completely. We've flown with it a few times now, and it's held up very well. We've even forgotten to tuck the straps in, and they're still intact.
