Which Kanoodle version would be a challenge for a 12 year old boy?

Any of the three items in our Kanoodle line would challenge a 12-year-old. You may want to start with Kanoodle as an introduction to this line. They all increase in level of difficulty, but Kanoodle starts off VERY simple and then ramps up. Here are the differences-- Kanoodle: 12 game pieces (right angles), 101 puzzles (2D & 3D pyramid); Kanoodle Genius: 7 game pieces (60 & 120 degree angles); 202 puzzles (2D & 3D pyramid); Kanoodle Extreme: 12 game pieces (60 & 120 degree angles); 303 puzzles (2D, 3D pyramid, 2D sliding).

I was thinking of this for my 17 yr old grandson but I worry it's not challenging enough. He gets bored easily if it doesn't challenge him! Advice?

My 15 yr old son really enjoys this. He doesn't use the booklet so he's solving this by his own intuition. The whole family has enjoyed trying to solve puzzles.
