My first all natural loofah, this is the best of any loofah and silcone brush.
I have bought the Equate man size mesh loofah. I have bought on Amazon the Innerneed Silcone Body Scrubber Shower Brush. If your going to buy a natural loofah for the first time or any other type of loofah body brush for the first time please read on for which type is better for skin exfoliaition. Generally the loofah plastic mesh type is disposable after a month because it can't dry out without having bacteria, it creates good lather but can be also messey at it. The worst part is they can't rinse of the lather well. You have to rinse it out a lot just to apply plain water. They also can take up more shower gel to make good lather. Also because it plastic made is probably not great if a user has sensitive skin. At $3.00 a piece for 12 months that's $36.00 a year plus it creates more plastic waist then you have to keep disposing of them. A silicone plastic exfoliating body scrubber takes a lot of shower gel to get a full amount of lather. This true is you get one with either short bristles or longer ones. The other draw back is you will still need a wash cloth to rinse the shower gel or soap off. They are good for at exfoliating and is gentle for sensitive skin types but they are awful when comes down to removing the soap. It will leave soap on your skin. You have to treat your body like a car wash and use separate detail tools. Like I mentioned the biggest draw back is that when using shower gel it takes a lot of product just like the pladtic mesh types. For all intense and purpose a natural loofah is a body sponge. This is a far superior loofah than the other 2 types. You can use it on all skin types. I do turn my skin red a little bit depending how much force I use when I'm doing a full body scrub but it goes away in few hours afterwards. It is recommend by a few dermatologist that you should only exfoliate your skin no more than 2 or 3 times a week and I only do it once week or once every 2 weeks it depends. If you prefer to exfoliate with both liquid shower gel like Nivea Men Rock Salts you can use both safely on a natural loofah. Other than this having 2 sides to use which ever you will like best to scrub your skin you don't need a lot of shower gel you can apply a small dab and rubb it in and then wet it. This how I do it just like a washcloth. You definitely don't need large amounts to go a long way way like you need on mesh loofah and silicone bbody brush. That doesn't do much to lather your skin. Plus it is easier to rinse it out. This natural loofah by Crovin is worth the money for a 2 pk for a first time buyer. This why it's so much better that there are 2 sides of a natural loofah side with man made material on the other that is more gentle than a cotton wash cloth. You can rinse your skin with it to remove the deep down soap in the skin that you can't just rinse off with water. It also provides an alternative to use this soft side for a safe facial scrub without having irritation or redness. It is the best way to exfoliatiate with either using of or both sides of this loofah. This is a sponge. It is hard product in the package. It supposed to be this way when you open the box. What you see in all the photos is what these sponges look after water was applied and dried out. This isn't made to look like a kitchen sponge new in a package. So when you read reviews that say it arrived that don't like the photos in the description it does but it is going to be different than then a photo that was taken after it was wet not how it looks when after it's made. I have used my loofah about 4 times in the month that I have had it. I'm still on my first one. I don't overly stretch the handle strap on it. So all of my treads on the endseams and the handle strap is very secure. They it works you flip the strap over to the side of the sponge you want to grip to. So this brand is reliable and the quality is well made. It's how you the user will treat with care or over abuse it. If seams are perfectly stitched and aren't broken it should last longer. I also abuse this sponge with hardh rinsing and it still in perfect condition. The instructions does recomnend that loofah sponge be thrown away after a month of use. It can hold bacteria like mold or mildew if you air it out in a warm & humid room. What I do is rinse out with dishwashing liquid to kill all germs and let it a air dry at room temperature. When it's dry, I spray it with Bounce Fabric Freshener to remove any remaining odors and germs. I'll probably toss it out at the end of March from the way I care for it. So a 2 pack will last me 6 months. While at the same time being less waistful from throwing one a way monthly. The trick is to keep it from smelling like a dried out washcloth that gets used multiple times. A natural loofah is thinner than regular sponge so it easier for air to flow through on both sides when it's hung up. This review is long to explain all some some of the poor reviews and the differences for the different types body loofah. So thanks for reading my review and I hope this helps in your buying decision. There are pro and cons to these products so I wanted to be detailed about which is best and worst when it comes to buying these things.

For the price they are okay
Only just started using the first one, but these are extremely hard loofahs. Yes, I know, loofahs are supposed to be rough... but not this rough. The spiky area of the back of the loofah goes right through the soft covering making it hard to comfortably keep your hand through the strap while washing with it. They work and do their job, I suppose, but I wouldn't recommend these to folks with a thin dermis layer or to folks wanting to use these loofahs on their face. I'm used to a rougher loofah, but these are unyielding and don't feel like they will soften up anymore until the fibers start breaking down so much that it's too be thrown away. Will I use them, yes... will I buy them again, not a chance.

You'll feel clean!
We were looking for a more eco-friendly replacement for our plastic loofahs and thought we'd try the real thing. I was sceptical when they first arrived because they look thin and scratchy, but they plump up nicely in the tub. They do not lather up as much as the plastic kind but once you get them moving over your body you will see a good lather forming on your skin. They have a gentle exfoliating quality that feels amazing. My kids and I each have our own loofah and they have each lasted 6 weeks so far. This is longer than the plastic kind which fall apart after a month. I'm not sure how much life these loofahs have left in them but they're still looking and feeling great after 6 weeks, so a better deal than the plastic kind for sure. What a great find!

Lacking in every way
I bought these loofah pads because they reminded me of a similar product I had bought in the past before switching to the old fashioned mesh loofahs. These pads are not remotely up to par with my expectations. First off, these pads are THIN. I'm not sure if they come out of the factory this thin, or if they're so thoroughly flattened by the vacuum seal packaging they come in that they lose all volume. There is no density to the loofah side itself - it is incredibly thin and matted down and it results in mediocre exfoliation because the grain of the loofah is barely present. It took far longer to actually exfoliate with this loofah than even a worn out mesh loofah in need of replacement would. Second, because of the lack of density, these loofahs do not carry soap or body wash whatsoever. I can't tell if they simply don't hold the soap, or if they're so absorbent that it stays in the loofah pad and doesn't transfer to your skin as you use it. I lean towards the former theory because of my next point, but regardless it meant that I had to pre-apply my body wash before running the loofah over my skin, which is not a time sink I'm interested in dealing with, especially with how poor the exfoliating experience seems to be on top of it. Third, looping back around to the absorbency issue - these things do not dry well at all. I did as the instructions suggested; after my shower and after wringing it out as best I could, I hung the loofah pad in a spot with good airflow (in this case in front of an open window), and let it dry. I showered in the afternoon, and when I came to take the loofah down in the evening, I found it was still soaking wet. I left it overnight, and when I checked on it in the morning, it STILL was not entirely dry. It's still slightly damp as I write this, nearly 24 hours after use. Unless you plan to sit with a hairdryer over them, these things are definitely going to produce mildew within a few uses. Good thing you get 6 of them! Suffice to say I am incredibly disappointed in this product, do not plan to repurchase it, and would recommend anyone who wants to actually use a loofah steer clear.

Back in the day, Roman citizens enjoying a bath used to cover their bodies in olive oil then pay someone to scrape their skin with a little curved blade called a strigil. For those of us who prefer a shower and some gel, and for whom servants are thin on the ground, these wee beasties perform much the same function as the strigil, basically removing flaky skin. This improves skin texture and health, prevents rashes, etc. These particular pads are very sturdy. I've been using one for weeks now (rinsed thoroughly after each use of course) and it's showing no sign of wear. The whole pack should last for years. Very good price too. Highly recommended.

Arrivate nella data prevista e ben confezionate. A primo impatto sembrano un prodotto di ottima qualità. Purtroppo all' uso ne sono delusa. Avendo usato i guantini, con questo prodotto l' effetto esfoliante è quasi inesistente, sono spugne come qualsiasi altre reperibili ovunque semplicemente più costose (pagate € 13,99). Sconsiglio!
